“It Looks Like Things Could Go Really Wrong”

I was showing the loom in its new location to our dinner guest last night, Matt.  He looked at the loom with some puzzlement and said, “It looks like things could really go wrong.”  As I have been warping the loom today for a krokbragd hanging, catching dangling warp threads behind the shafts and addressing other issues, I’ve been thinking he is right! I’m much happier once the header is woven in, and the weaving has begun in earnest.  Matt is in medical school, which puts perspective on “things going really wrong.”  (There is rarely blood involved in weaving.)  I told him problems were inevitable.  I hope the first shots on this warp don’t reveal any sleying mistakes!
