I’m weaving a large, long red wool rug with bands of color – pink, orange, gold, yellow, green, blue, and purple. It’s incredibly fun; I wait to plan the next pattern band until I am finished with the one I am weaving, choosing the patterns and colors to balance what has gone before (and keeping track of what colors I may run out of). Ideally, I would like to finish it by Friday, when I am taking many of my friends’ weavings down to Vesterheim for this summer’s National Exhibition of Folk Art in the Norwegian Tradition.
Mike made delicious English muffin bread last night. My most recent self-imposed goal? No toast and cheese until the pink border was finished. Now, on to plan the next band.
Beautiful!
