I think it’s pretty clear where Lila bought her flensvev, or doubleweave, piece in Norway. Laurann remembered that it was near Trondheim, and Veronna Capone remembered even more specifically. Lila purchased it in 2007 at Åsen Vev, in a small community by that name, northeast of Trondheim. The weaver, Else Torkildsen, specializes in skilbragd and flens. She uses patterns from old sheepskin-backed coverlets, and other blankets and coverlets. I look forward to visiting there.
