Madeline Island

Our friends Sally and Chad already have a handwoven rug and table runner from me, so for our visit to Madeline Island this year I brought a beautiful handwoven tea towel from Ann Masemore.

Sally: Oh, this is too nice to just use as a dishtowel.  Me: No, Sally, you need to use it all the time!

My friend Sally Brown is a painter, and this is a great painting I had not seen before.  There are political allusions here.  “But not current, so you might not get it,” Sally added.

See the snow-covered Bush to the left?

The weasel is Cheney, and the rabbit – us.
