Last year I submitted a blanket as part of an installation to be mounted at the American Embassy in Pakistan by the talented artist Marie Watt. Today I received a note and postcard saying that the installation was delivered in January, 2016, and they have been given the green light to install it between December 5-15.

Given the fragile and uncertain state of international relations, especially in light of the incoming administration, I feel so heartened that these tokens of human connection will be displayed in Pakistan.
It’s interesting to read the stories of all the contributed blankets, listed here. My blanket is number 4; read about it here. Here is my post and photos here from the time I was submitting the blanket.
