Mette Hammer sent a photo of her completed hummingbird transparent tapestry, completed after the workshop in Decorah in September. What beautiful, vibrant colors. You can see her initial sketch and beginning of the tapestry in this post: “An Anniversary Transparent Tapestry Workshop at Vesterheim Folk School.”

Mette wrote that she hasn’t taken it off the loom because she might try another design with the warp on the back side of her loom. That’s exactly what she should do, because the students arranged an upcoming zoom weave-along. They wanted to keep in contact and inspire one another to keep weaving their tapestries. Mette will need something to weave!
