After finishing the red/pink/gold wool rug, some linen warp remained on my loom. I couldn’t tell if it was enough to finish a rug as large as I like to make, so I decided to take all the fabric strips and bits of balls I had in my closet and see what I could do. There seemed to be enough yellow and blue to work with, whether it ended up short or long. The light blue turned quite purple next to the aqua-type blues I had – could I make them work together? I worked in bands of color right to the end of the warp, and eked out a 48″ rug.

Beautiful!
Soon I hope to return to weaving and include Scandinavian. No-one I know of on the east coast of Canada to teach but I will search it out by other means.
Despite googling madly, I cannot find a definition of ‘rose path”!
This is a wonderful blog!!

I really Iike the colorful showing of the design of rosepath!
Left overs are sometimes more fun than the original weave.
