
Last year my daughter Margaret and I created an Edvard Munch Peeps diorama for the annual St. Paul Pioneer Press Peeps contest. She’s away this year – it’s just not the same. So I bought Peeps and started a series of photos. Peeps are complaining about March in Minnesota. The Peeps came indoors and viewed the beginning of my krokbragd project. I am weaving up the pattern described in the 1983 HUSFLID magazine article I translated from Norwegian. “The Old Pattern.” Advice from a weekend’s weaving? Don’t listen to fascinating radio programs and lose your attention to treadling detail. Or maybe, be sure to listen to fascinating radio programs and just accept that you will be ripping out some incorrectly woven sections. More about the weaving later.
