Mink Pillow

After seeing a pillow using strips of fleece as weft in Finland this summer, I experimented with the concept, using uncut strips of thick sheep fleece.  (See the results in this post.)  Then I remembered a bag of fur pieces tucked in my closet and decided to experiment with them.  Below is a pillow made with fabric strips (leftovers retrieved from another bag in the closet), mink, and strips of other small fur-bearing animals.  (I showed my sister who said it was nice, but she didn’t really approve of the use of real animals.)

And here’s the back:

And now of course I have ideas for further fur strip experiments…….
